BECOME PART OF THE INSPIRE TEAM

JOIN THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

The Inspire UGA Leadership Team is spearheaded by a team of UGA students. The Exec Board oversees the overall function of the organization and works to best implement the mission of the organization. Board Members are selected at the end of spring semester each academic year. If you’re interested in serving in this capacity, we strongly encourage you to first join a committee!

JOIN A COMMITTEE

Inspire could not operate without our invaluable committees. By working directly with our Exec Board Members, those on committee help out with brainstorming and putting together our events throughout the year, raising money, and helping to form connections with parents, students and staff our local Athens Clarke County middle schools. Committee members are selected at the beginning of each academic year. If you are passionate about the issue of education inequality, we encourage you to apply at the start of 2021-22 school year.

SERVE AS A PEER LEADER

Starting in 2021, Inspire at UGA will offer a Peer Leadership Workshop opportunity for UGA students to gain hands-on learning and leading experience! Peer Leaders will spend time with our Mentor Coordinator over the course of the year in order to develop their leadership skills. They'll be prepared to work with Student Mentors to get ready for "Day as a Dawg" and will serve as Mentors for 8th graders as well! Perfect for anyone interested in Inspire and that wants to grow as a leader! Applications open in late August with training activities starting in September.

SERVE AS A MENTOR

Mentors are especially important for the success of our signature event each April, Day as a Dawg. Serving as a mentor is a one-day commitment. Mentor applications are open in mid-February every year.
